Creative Studio Celebrates a Nation

PARADISE ISLAND, BAHAMAS (May 8, 2017) – Atlantis, Paradise Island Bahamas announces a first-of-its-kind shared mission coalition to nurture the Bahamian creative and entrepreneurial community.  The resort has partnered with shared mission creative agency, enso, to develop an impact platform for the people and culture of The Bahamas. Kicking off a commitment to storytelling, preserving the oral and visual history of the country and creating a platform for Bahamian makers to share their works with the world, “Come to Life”, is the shared mission storytelling platform and the first dispatch of the cultural movement, launches today. Kelly, a female bottlenose dolphin, one of the stranded dolphins whose home was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina, featured at Dolphin Cay, Atlantis. Dolphin Cay is a 14-acre, state-of-the-art marine habitat dedicated to conservation, rehabilitation and education and an accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), Alliance of Marine Mammal Parks and Aquariums (AMMPA), and the International Marine Animal Trainers’ Association (IMATA).

Bahamian model Sacha Kalis, known for her underwater poses taken throughout the waters of The Bahamas, explores the eight million gallon, open air marine habitat, The Dig at Atlantis, Paradise Island, home to over 50,000 marine animals from over 250 species.
Junkanoo Bonfire on Atlantis Beach, Atlantis, Paradise Island resort, The Bahamas. This summer, Atlantis will introduce Junkanoo Beach Barbecues that take place by a roaring bonfire. Guests will be able to sample Bahamian cuisine, music, dance and culture, all beside the breathtaking, turquoise ocean.

A 500+ year-old cultural experience to celebrate Bahamian heritage, Junkanoo is a celebratory expression in music, hand created costumes and dance that represents the “true self” of each participant.
